ATIA Online Course Speaker Agreement
Thank you for submitting your ATIA Online Course Proposal and congratulations on your acceptance to the ATIA Online Course series. ATIA is fortunate to have talented and passionate speakers, such as you, to share information with our attendees. Please take a few moments to read through the instructions and ATIA online course policies, so that ATIA can ensure that your presentation is a success. If you are a returning speaker, please make sure to review the policy carefully, as there have been some changes in the speaker program.
Instructions
Please read each bullet below thoroughly and check the “I accept” button at the end to confirm your agreement to these terms for your speaking engagement in the ATIA Online Course Series. Failure to uphold your end of the agreement may result in the cancellation of your online course.
Please note that with the inclusion of the online course series in additional professional certification programs (such as ASHA, etc.), we have included terms relating to financial and non-financial disclosure to meet new requirements for those programs. As a Speaker, you will be eligible for the following compensation rates:

Sessions will be cancelled if there are fewer than 10 paid registrations as of one week prior to the live date.
As an Online Course Speaker, you will be required to:
- Speak according to the scheduled date and time as indicated in your invitation e-mail.
- Attend a presentation walk through with ATIA Staff approximately one month prior to your online course.
- Have access to a computer system (preferably not wireless) and phone line (not cell phone) to conduct the online course.
- Provide presentation materials in PowerPoint (PPT) or the link to your Google Slides and any additional supplemental handouts, videos, etc. no later than one week prior to the date of the live course.
- Provide presentation materials that comply with ATIA guidelines. Presentations and any supplemental handout material must be accessible – all graphics should have meaningful alt text. Presentations will be converted to PDFs and distributed to attendees as a handout by ATIA staff.
- Convert all videos to MP4 or flash file format (.flv or .swf) if you plan to use videos during your presentation. Videos should be short in length (>2 minutes) to reduce file size and delay in attendee download time. If you need assistance in the conversion of videos, contact ATIA staff.
- Provide all demonstrations of iPads, iPhones, and mobile apps using: desktop software such as Reflector for mirroring, a camera connected to the desktop, or screenshots in your PowerPoint. The iPhone and iPad is not supported in the online course application as an operation system that can shared live directly.
- Provide ATIA with 5 multiple choice or true/false quiz questions based off of the learning objectives of your online course one week prior to the date of the course. These quiz questions will be used by attendees in their process of earning CEUs and complies with IACET and ASHA requirements.
- Assist in the promotion of your course, to the best of your ability.
- Confirm that you have fulfilled the Learning Objectives at the end of the course.
As an Online Course Speaker, you agree to the following terms:
- All online courses will be recorded for archive purposes and made available in the Learning Catalog of the Learning Center on the ATIA website.
- All online courses will have captioning service.
- This exact title and content will not be presented in any other free online course program for at least three months after the date of the ATIA online course. (The content can be utilized as an educational session at a conference – ATIA or other.)
- You attest that you are the author/owner and/or you are authorized to use the content to be presented and that ATIA is not liable for any content presented or misused on your part.
- You grant permission to ATIA to publish your abstract for public viewing on the internet and in appropriate promotional materials.
- You give permission to ATIA to provide the presentation handout materials developed for the online course to registered attendees. You have gained permission for ATIA to provide the materials to registered attendees from any third party with copyrights on any materials used within your course.
- It is agreed that ATIA will not be held responsible for royalties or infringement either (i) for use by ATIA and distribution of the presentation as described above, or (ii) for any use or misuse of any of the materials by any person who obtains the materials (directly or indirectly) as a results of ATIA’s permitted use or distribution of the materials.
- You have obtained written photo release permission for any photos of individuals to be used for the purpose of the presentation and handout for the ATIA online course and for the purpose of marketing the course (e.g. email, web posting, social media posting or printed materials.) Graphics featuring or including children, other than purchased stock art work, must have written permission from a parent or guardian for ATIA to use the graphic.
- The ATIA Online Course Series includes both the live and any recorded version of the broadcast made available to registrants (if applicable.)
