Christopher R. Bugaj, MA CCC‐SLP is a founding member the Assistive Technology Team for Loudoun County Public Schools. Chris hosts The A.T.TIPSCAST (; a multi‐award winning podcast featuring strategies to assist educators in providing more options for all learners. Chris is the co‐author of The Practical (and Fun) Guide to Assistive Technology in Public Schools published by the International Society on Technology in Education (ISTE)
and has designed and instructed online courses for ISTE on the topics of Assistive Technology and Universal Design for Learning. He is also the author of ATEval2Go (, an app for iPad that helps professionals in education perform assistive technology-related consultations and evaluations. Chris recently co-authored two chapters for a book published by Brookes Publishing titled Technology Tools for Students with Autism. Chris co‐produces and co‐authors the popular Night Light Stories podcast ( which features original stories for children of all ages. Beth Poss

Special Education Administrator/ Speech Language Pathologist

Beth Poss is currently a special education administrator for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, supervising and supporting special education staff, including teachers, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and social workers. As a former member of the MCPS curriculum writing team, she helped design and implement a curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards and the principles of Universal Design for Learning. As a certified Speech Language Pathologist, she served as a member of the MCPS assistive technology team for 10 years. She is an adjunct faculty member for Johns Hopkins University, and presents nationally on best practices in Professional Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Learning and other Educational Disabilities, Assistive Technology, Instructional Technology and Universal Design for Learning. Areas of special interest include Inclusive Learning Environments, Using iPads in Early Childhood, Use of Google Apps for Education, Implementing the Common Core State Standards, and Free Resources to Support Universal Design for Learning in the 21st Century.
