As a fundamental skill for all children, digital literacy and the implementation of literacy supports is of outmost importance in building competency in reading, writing, and achieving overall success both in school and beyond the classroom. Basic UDL concepts, and how they influence the way our support strategies are implemented, as well as various assistive technology resources for literacy building will be discussed. This webinar will also explore using Cast UDL Bookbuilder to create and share books for all.
- Participants will be able to define the UDL concepts
- Participants will match UDL guidelines with at least one AT resource
- Participants will list three free or low cost assistive technology resources for literacy building
Regular presenter at regional, national and international conferences offered through organizations like the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA), SC Assistive Technology Program, SC Family Connection, South Carolina Education Association (SCEA), etc. she also supports school districts by providing guidance, resources and training for local assistive technology teams, education professionals, teachers, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders throughout the state.
