Environmental control, smart home technologies and the Internet of Things have been around for quite some time. Until recently the cost of entry was an enormous barrier. Recently, these technologies have become more and more affordable and new solutions join the marketplace everyday. We will discuss these technologies and the different features each one brings with it. We will talk about how these technologies can be partnered with each other to create a robust network of equipment around the home that helps to accomplish a wide range of tasks. These technologies make life easier for everyone, but in the hands of someone with a disability, they make life possible.
