Session Changes and A/V Requests
- Additional A/V Requests – submit by December 22, 2023
- Session Change Requests – submit by January 12, 2024
For all presentations, speakers are required to use their own laptop, tablet, or device. We recommend bringing connecting cables and dongles. Requests for additional AV (i.e. microphones, flip chart paper and markers, etc.) will incur extra fees that are the responsibility of the speaker.
Presentation Handouts/Slides
Presentation and handouts/slides are due January 15, 2024. Submit these in your Speaker Service Center.

Handout Accessibility References
Conference sessions often present information of a visual nature that is not easily accessed by people who are blind or visually impaired. Here are some resources to create accessible session material:
- Use the ATIA PowerPoint Template — coming soon!
- Attend the webinar from strand advisor Rob Carr on Handout Accessibility
- Review this information provided by Microsoft Support — Make your PowerPoint presentations accessible to people with disabilities
- Upload your handouts in accessible formats — handouts will be made available online for your session’s attendees.
- Electronic – Provide a text file, Word document, accessible PDF, or list of URL links and upload one or more documents in the Upload Handouts area of your Speaker Service Center.
- Use informative and descriptive speech.
- Use expressions like, “…this drawing / diagram / map, etc. illustrates the relationship of reading rate to accuracy and indicates that as the reading rate increases the accuracy rate decreases…” in place of “…as you can see…,” “…the red area shows…,” or “…this line indicates…”
