ATIA/AIA Research Projects for Taking Accessibility Mainstream
ATIA & AIA hosted an event at CSUN on Feb. 28, 2012 called “Taking Accessibility Mainstream: Making the Case for an International Society of Accessibility Professionals.”
For more information about the research that led to this event, go to the following links:
Developer’s Survey on Accessibility – This is a survey of 433 developers who identified obstacles to achieving accessible technology within all software, hardware, web, mobile, etc.
CODE for Accessibility Task Force Recommendations – These were developed by over 40 industry leaders who participated across four sub-committees. These recommendations address the obstacles identified by the Developer’s Survey.
Professional Society Case Studies – This is research into the history and programs of the International Society for Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and identified parallels and differences with the accessibility industry.
