A Pathway to Accessible Workplace Technology

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy’s (ODEP) Accessible Workplace Technology Initiative is designed to advance the development and adoption of accessible, interoperable and usable information and communication technology (ICT) in the workplace.

ODEP has established a Public-Private Partnership on accessible workplace technology as part of the initiative. This effort engages representatives from government agencies, advocates, IT developers and industry leaders in a national dialogue.

As part of the partnership between the Assistive Technology Industry Association and ODEP, ATIA has provided a report on action items and policy issues that should be considered to advance accessible workplace technology.

Download a copy of the Report submitted to ODEP.

For the report, "Case Studies to Advance the Implementation of Accessible Technology in the Workplace" which studies similar recommendations as implemented in another industry, download the case study analysis.

You can also review other papers sponsored by the Office of Disability Employment Policy/Dept of Labor on Accessible Workplace Technologies at this ODEP Resources page.
